In the Garden

With a little help

The house is situated amidst countless acres of unspoilt countryside. Fortunately, the grounds belonging to Rodono House comprise only about 6 acres to take care of, with mature broadleaf trees and a few acres of sloping lawns. What we set out to achieve, was to create a green, cultivated environment that frames the house yet blends in with the surrounding countryside.

The grounds involve maintenance, which in the old days would be taken care of by a squad of full time gardeners. Nowadays we have machines, and it takes about a day in the week for Richard and me to maintain the lawns and trim the hedges and tidy up the trees.
